RIDG Management Team
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, as the older of two boys, Dan grew up under
the strict discipline of a Marine, moved to Virginia Beach in the
late 80’s, and graduated from Frank Cox High School.
Dan attended Embry-Riddle University in Daytona Beach and later joined
the US Navy and served in the Nuclear Surface Warfare Community. His
final duty station was the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) based in
Norfolk. Dan left the Navy in the late 90’s and immediately
began his career in the construction industry as an electrician’s
helper. After two short months, he was running several crews on several
jobs and quickly earned his Master Electricians License and topped
out in the electrical field.
Dan worked on several notable Hampton Roads projects such as the Armada
Hoffler Towne Center, Webb Center, ODU, CNU Dormitory and Build Out,
Port Warwick, and Oyster Point Towne Center. From there Dan joined
the Hampton Roads Division of Centex Homes as a Field Manager. Within
four months he had been promoted to an Area Construction Manager responsible
for over 20 staff, hundreds of subcontractors, 12 active communities,
and over 300 homes in warranty. Within a year, the division ranked
in the top 5 nationwide.
While maintaining a successful career in the construction management
field, Dan continued to notice a deficiency in experience, execution,
and discipline in the industry. He began doing research on phase building
and construction management firms and decided to start his own company.
In April of 2007, Dan started RIDG Incorporated, a construction management
firm with an emphasis on phase building. |
