Our Company

Dan Robinson II
started RIDG as a way to apply smart business practices to
the subcontractor trades and to alleviate an inflated market of both
material and labor construction costs. Having dealt first hand with
the scheduling, cost, and efficiency problems involved with multiple
trade companies on a single job, Dan decided to marry his military,
construction, and business backgrounds into a company that could build
smarter.
The creation of RIDG was completed through the acquisition of several
individual trade companies and the recruiting of a management team
that could put the whole thing together. The owners of each of the
trades became RIDG Construction Managers. The Construction Managers
continue to manage their people and their business units without the
burden of running a company. The end result is better than anticipated
with an incredible amount of teamwork and camaraderie.
RIDG employs all of its skilled labor so there is no need to subcontract
out the work and the overhead savings is ultimately passed on to our
customers. With all the trades under one roof (approximately 95% of
our labor is internal), RIDG offers a true turnkey experience where
the builder/developer need not be consumed with materials, scheduling,
overhead, rework, and administrative burdens.
Through the volume of business and the single sourcing of materials,
RIDG realizes significant material savings that is also passed on
to our builders. Single sourcing is a common business practice (RIDG
single sources roughly 90% of its materials) but for some reason it
has not been implemented throughout the construction industry. Instead,
builders tend to split their work up between multiple suppliers and
subcontractors. By taking advantage of the entire package, a builder
can save through our volume discounts.
All of our builders are assigned a single point of contact; the Builder’s
Representative. The builder can call the Builder’s Representative
for all of their needs and questions.
Allowing RIDG to both manage and complete the project, builders and
developers are realizing significant cost and time savings. This in
turn helps builders improve their asset turn as well as achieve price
points they once thought unattainable.
We look forward to hearing from you and discussing how RIDG can help
“Build your Future”. |
